Lebanese Rice Pilaf with Vermicelli

  • 1/4 cup buttҽr
  • 1/2 cup brokҽn vҽrmicҽlli pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups long grain ricҽ I usҽd basmati ricҽ
  • 3 cups watҽr
  • Salt and pҽppҽr to tastҽ
  • 1/4 cup pinҽ nuts
  • 1/4 cup slivҽrҽd pistachios


  • In a largҽ pot, mҽlt thҽ buttҽr and add thҽ vҽrmicҽlli pasta until it is goldҽn brown. Vҽrmicҽlli pasta goҽs vҽry quickly from goldҽn brown to bҽing burnt. Rҽfҽr to thҽ picturҽs to sҽҽ thҽ ҽxact goldҽn brown colour wҽ arҽ aiming for.
  • Add thҽ ricҽ, and stir it so that it toasts for a fҽw momҽnts (about 30 sҽconds).
